“A fine watch deserves a conversation, not a sales pitch.”

Our story

A different way to buy and sell.

Buying or selling a fine watch is often personal. It might mean parting with something you’ve worn for years, or finally finding a piece you’ve wanted for a long time. Yet it can easily feel rushed, impersonal or opaque.

The Cotswold Jeweller was set up to offer something calmer: one point of contact, honest advice, and terms that are clear from the start. We don’t keep a shop or chase sales targets. Instead, we work closely with a small number of clients at a time, by email, by phone, and in person by appointment.

Whether you’re selling a watch or searching for one, our role is simple: to understand what matters to you, and to handle the rest with care.

What we stand by

Four simple principles.

  • Honest advice

We tell you what we think, including when a watch isn't right for you or when now isn't the time to sell.

  • Discretion

Your details, and your watch, are handled privately. Conversations stay between us.

  • No pressure

No shop floor and no targets. You set the pace, and you're never obliged to go ahead.

  • Clear terms

Any fee, commission or margin is explained plainly and agreed in writing before anything proceeds.

Meeting in person

By appointment, at a time that suits you.

There’s no shop to walk into. When it helps to meet, we arrange a private appointment in Cirencester or elsewhere in the Cotswolds, so a watch can be seen, handled and discussed properly.

Appointments are arranged individually once we’ve spoken, and the location is agreed with you in advance.

Have a watch in mind?

Whether you’re ready to sell, or simply curious what it might take to find a particular watch, start with a short enquiry. There’s no obligation.
