Cartier's 2026 collection is all about shape. The Roadster is back after fourteen years away, the Tortue becomes a permanent line, and the Santos Chronograph has been thoroughly reworked.

The Roadster returns

First made in 2002 and discontinued in 2012, the Roadster has a devoted following for its tonneau case, car-inspired curves and the magnifier over the date, nicknamed the ‘headlight’. The new version has a cleaner profile and Cartier's QuickSwitch system for changing the bracelet without tools.

  • Large: 47.2 x 38.8mm, automatic calibre 1847 MC.
  • Medium: 42.5 x 34.9mm, automatic calibre 1899 MC.
  • Steel, two-tone and yellow gold, from $9,300 to $57,000 in the US.

The Tortue joins the collection

After a limited Privé run in 2024, the Tortue, Cartier's ‘tortoise’ shape dating back to 1912, is now a permanent collection with a softer, rounder case. Prices start at $13,900 for the small yellow gold model and reach $105,000 for a platinum Large set with 46 baguette diamonds.

Santos Chronograph and Santos-Dumont

The Santos Chronograph is smaller (47.5 x 37.7mm, down from 51.4 x 43.3mm) and now has both pushers on the right, where most people expect them. It runs on the new automatic calibre 1904-CH MC. The hand-wound Santos-Dumont Large gains a woven bracelet of 394 tiny links, in yellow gold or platinum.

Ten years of Privé

Cartier's Privé collection, which revives historic designs in small numbers, turned ten. ‘La Collection’ brings three hand-wound yellow gold classics: the Tank Normale, the Cloche and the Tank Cintrée, each $37,600. ‘Les Opus’ goes further, including a skeletonised platinum Crash limited to 150 pieces.
