Few drivers have changed watches as visibly as Lewis Hamilton. For more than a decade he wore IWC; since joining Ferrari for 2025, it has been Richard Mille.
The IWC years, 2013 to 2024
IWC is Mercedes' watch partner, and Hamilton was an ambassador throughout his time with the team, helping design several special editions.
- Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition ‘Lewis Hamilton’ (2019): black ceramic, 46.5mm, Bordeaux dial, 100 pieces.
- Big Pilot's Perpetual Calendar TOP GUN ‘Lake Tahoe’: white ceramic, worn at the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix before its release.
- Portugieser Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph (2023): platinum with a teal dial and Hamilton's panther-eye logo, 44 pieces.
- Pilot's Performance Chronograph 41: worn on the Silverstone podium after his ninth British Grand Prix win in July 2024, later auctioned by Bonhams for the Laureus Sport for Good charity.
Ferrari and Richard Mille
Richard Mille has been Ferrari's watch partner since 2021, and the team's link with the brand began through Charles Leclerc. Hamilton hasn't been named an official ambassador; he wears Richard Mille as part of the team.
- RM 67-02 ‘Italy’: first seen at his Fiorano test in January 2025. A featherweight Carbon TPT case (around 32g with strap) and bridges in the colours of the Italian flag. Reported prices range from just under £300,000 to about $380,000.
- RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon: worn for his Sprint win in Shanghai in March 2025. Around $600,000.
- RM 43-01 Ferrari Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph: worn at the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix. Two editions of 75 pieces, at CHF 1.1 million and CHF 1.35 million before tax.

Why it matters to collectors
Watches worn by famous drivers often attract extra interest, and limited editions linked to them can be hard to find. The difference between list price and what changes hands can be considerable, so it's worth getting good advice before buying. Read Richard Mille vs Rolex and Formula 1 and watches for more.
