Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a watch through our website. The seller is The Cotswold Jeweller, based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. You can contact us at sales@cotswoldjeweller.uk.

Please read them before you pay. By placing an order you agree to them.

Our watches are pre-owned unless we say otherwise. We describe each one as accurately as we can, including its reference, approximate year and case material. The photographs show the watch listed.

Watches are supplied through our trusted trade partners and sent to you directly from them by insured delivery.

When you pay, we confirm your watch with our partner. Every watch is subject to availability. If a watch you’ve paid for is no longer available, we’ll tell you promptly and refund the full amount you paid to your original payment method. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm your watch is being sent.

Watches priced over £15,000 can’t be bought by card online. You can reserve them and we’ll agree payment by bank transfer with you individually.

Prices are in pounds sterling and include insured delivery to a UK address. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

If we’ve made an obvious error in a price, we’ll contact you before your order is confirmed, and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Some watches are sent to you from outside the UK. Additional customs fees may be requested by the carrier upon receipt of your package. Any such charges are payable by you to the carrier and are not included in our price.

We currently deliver to UK addresses only. We’ll give you an estimated delivery date when we confirm your order and share tracking details once it’s sent. Deliveries are insured and may need a signature.

The watch is your responsibility once it has been delivered to you or someone you’ve nominated.

You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the watch. Tell us by email at sales@cotswoldjeweller.uk. You then have a further 14 days to return the watch.

The watch must be returned in the same condition, with everything it came with, sent by a fully insured, tracked service. Unless the watch is faulty or not as described, you pay the cost of returning it. We’ll refund the price you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the watch back (or proof you’ve sent it). We may reduce the refund if the watch’s value has been reduced by handling beyond what’s needed to inspect it.

Your watch must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If it isn’t, contact us and we’ll put it right. Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
